Support Local Liberty

Posted on April 27, 2020 at 11:55 AM by Claire Rodgers

Liberty’s businesses are finding creative and innovative ways to keep their doors open and serve the community during the COVID-19 Stay at Home Orders.

We’ve used the saying “Together We’re Better” for years. And now more than ever, the businesses, organizations and people of Liberty have risen to the challenge of supporting each other.

They’ve shown that to #StayHome does not mean to give up. They’ve answered the call. And they’ve asked the question, “What does this community need?”

Whether that’s offering cocktails to-go from Rancho Grande CantinaOh, and they have pretty amazing tacos, too. Taco Tuesday, anyone?

Or transitioning to online antique shopping with The Red Apron.
Open the third Friday and Saturday of every month, Red Apron is committed to making sure antique and home decor lovers get their shopping fix by offering online shopping and curbside pickup for the April sale. Stay tuned to their Facebook page for May sale details.

Or adding new family style dinner packages to the menu at The Landing and Conrad’s Restaurant & Alehouse
Conrad's has added several family style meals to its to-go menu during the Stay Home Order. They also have rotating family-style specials like this delicious lasagna.

If you’re looking for more ways to support local businesses here are a few quick ways to get started:
  • Join the Liberty Area - Together We’re Stronger Facebook Group for the most up-to-date information on supporting the community during this crisis.
  • Check out Visit Liberty’s new social media pages on Instagram (@visitlibertymo) and Facebook (@visitlibertymo)
  • Participate in #TakeoutTuesday by trying a different small business each week.
  • Leave a Google, Yelp, or Facebook review for your favorites.
  • Purchase a gift card - this works for restaurants, bars, retail and service. Keep it to use later or give it as a gift.

Coming soon in Liberty:
The Historic Downtown Liberty Farmers Market will open as scheduled on Saturday, May 2. The market has adopted several social distancing and sanitizing procedures to help keep both the vendors and shoppers safe.

The Liberty Farmers Market on Wednesdays at Feldman’s is coming soon in June.

We’re looking forward to seeing you soon in Liberty. But until then, stay safe and thank you for supporting Liberty's businesses!
