[ARCHIVED] The Take Out Tournament

The original item was published from March 1, 2021 3:10 PM to April 12, 2021 1:48 PM

March means people across the country are preparing to cheer on their home teams and alma maters as they go head-to-head in the annual basketball tournament known as March Madness.

The athletes are preparing for fierce competition. Single elimination rules remind them to show up and give their all at every opportunity.

For many, the best part of March Madness is predicting the outcome of the tournament in their bracket. Sixty-seven teams will ultimately be eliminated through a series of match ups leaving only one, a champion.

Here in Liberty, we have a bracket of our own - The Take Out Tournament. Want to know which local Liberty restaurant has the best take out? Us too. Join us in our search to find out who will be crowned "Best Take Out Restaurant in Liberty" 2021.

Similar to the way winners move along in a March Madness Bracket, the winner of each Take Out Tournament match-up will move on to the next round until only one remains, with the champion being announced on April 12!

It takes time to determine one burning question: who has the best take out in Liberty?

Your votes are how the restaurant wins. 16 restaurants will go head-to-head in round one of the Take Out Tournament our bracket. You, our Visit Liberty followers and fans, have the ability to vote for the restaurant you prefer to have advance to the next round via Facebook and Instagram.

Make sure you’re weighing in on this competition. Votes must be cast on either the Visit Liberty Facebook page or Instagram page during the voting period for each match-up. Votes cast on shares of the post will not be counted.

We even have a little incentive for you. At the end of the competition, we are going to randomly select one lucky commenter to walk away with a $100 gift card to the winning restaurant!

The Visit Liberty team selected 16 local restaurants for the Tournament and they were matched at random. Here is a sneak peek at our 16 competitors and first round match ups:

CONRAD'S Restaurant & Alehouse OR The Landing Eatery
Rancho Grande Cantina OR Huey's on the Square

Overflow Coffee House OR Luigi's Italian Restaurant
Jousting Pigs BBQ OR Sugar Kittens Cafe and Cattery
