Fall Events in Liberty You Won't Want to Miss

Posted on September 7, 2021 at 11:46 AM by Claire Rodgers

Fall in the Midwest is gorgeous! From leaves changing to the massive hay bales spread throughout the farms on every country road, the scenery is picture perfect. Fortunately, the weather is also amazing, making it the ideal time to get out and enjoy the season.

Whether you live nearby or stopping for a visit, we've compiled a list of events you'll want on your calendar this fall.

Historic Downtown Liberty will be buzzing with vendors, food, carnival rides and family-friendly fun the last weekend of September. There is so much to see and do, but you'll definitely want to be around for the Friday night concert featuring the Brothers Walker who recently appeared on NBC's The Voice. The full schedule is available online here.

ANNA MARIE'S TEA PARTIES | September 18, October 16, November 13

Not only does Anna Marie's Teas offer a wide variety of loose leaf teas in the tea shop, but they also host monthly tea parties when shop owner, Brenda, opens her 1913 home and creates a tea theme, menu and setting. In September, they'll be taking in the beauty of the changing and falling leaves. October will feature all things spooky and delicious. Then in November, they'll focus on being thankful for all our blessings. And, of course, the fall tea parties feature seasonal blends you won't want to miss. Find the tea party schedule, learn more about each event and book your tickets online here.

BEER YOGA AT THE LANDING | Last Saturdays of Every Month

Serenity on the Square has teamed up with Landing Eatery and Pub to bring together beer, yoga and music on the last Saturday of every month. Talk about total relaxation. The class will be at The Landing from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and is $16. Be sure to secure your spot by ordering your tickets in advance as space is limited. Stick around after class for lunch and get 10% off your bill. Look for more details on the September and October events coming soon to the Serenity on the Square and The Landing Facebook pages.

Most nights of the week you can find something fun happening at Johnnie's Jazz Bar & Grille, located inside B&B Theatres. If you are into jazz, you need to check out their amazing line up of bands. They feature different musicians all month long and even sprinkle in a few trivia nights. Grab your friends, order a bourbon, raise a glass to Johnnie (and learn about the restaurant's namesake), and settle in for some of the best jazz in the city. You can find the upcoming music and events calendar online here.

Perhaps the best time of year for murder mysteries and paranormal investigations is right around Halloween. Want to know what really happens when things go bump in the night? Belvoir Winery is located at the historically haunted Odd Fellows Home. Join in on a five hour, night investigation of the Odd Fellows Home complex lead by Paranormal Research Instigators. Or enjoy a night of fun with a whodunnit at the Murder Mystery Dinners. Learn more about Belvoir's upcoming events and get your tickets online here.
