As a part of the America 250 in Liberty celebration of the Semiquincentennial – 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 1776, the City of Liberty will plant 250 trees in varieties that can live for the next 250 years! There are two ways for the community to get involved:
- Request a tree to plant in your yard
- Volunteer for a tree planting day - April 11 and/or October 24 - to plant in City parks and right-of-way
