Now that the weather is getting nicer, let's explore some outdoor activates in Liberty! Check out our favorite ways to kick the Winter blues with these Spring boredom busters!
Check out the Sculptures Downtown
Address: Historic Downtown Liberty Square
Stroll historic downtown Liberty and enjoy a self-guided tour of the Rotating Sculpture Program on the Otocast app. In the app you'll find a map of the sculpture exhibit and to hear a description of each piece from the artists themselves. You can also vote for your favorite! Learn more about the rotating sculpture program online here.

Play a Round of Disc Golf
Start your Spring off right by stopping by one of Liberty’s disc golf courses! Whether you’re new to the sport or a seasoned professional, there’s a course for you. Beginners looking to ease their way into the sport should check out the NEW nine-hole course at Bennett Park. Those looking to challenge themselves or wanting to play a longer game should check out Bad Rock Creek Disc Golf Course at Stocksdale Park. This 18-hole course has three courses within one and is one of the top rated courses in the KC Metro area! This allows beginners, intermediate players and pros to all play on one course with different tee pad and pin placements! For more information on the courses, check out the Liberty Parks & Recs’ website!

Take a Hike
With 14 different trails to choose from, you’re bound to find the perfect one to fit your needs weather you like a leisurely walk or prefer to bike. The City’s trail system covers more than 17 miles of trails through parks and greenways across the City. The trails range from less than ¼ mile to 2 ¼ miles. Learn more about the trails Liberty has to offer online here!

Check out the Martha Lafite Thompson Nature Sanctuary
Enjoy a relaxing day outside by visiting the Martha Lafite Thompson Nature Sanctuary (MLTNS)! Nothing says ‘perfect Spring day’ like walking, bird watching and enjoying the beautiful weather. MLTNS also offers several educational programs through the spring and summer for kid’s pre-K through sixth grade. These programs allow children to get a hands-on learning experience and have some fun outside!

Play some Pickleball
Ensure your day is full of fun playing some pickleball on the courts at Westboro/Canterbury! There are four, lighted courts that are open to the public. No reservation is required.
