Give the people what they want, and the people want Hammerhand Coffee. It’s the coffee shop Liberty has been waiting for.
Hammerhand was born from a dream to bring supreme coffee, service and atmosphere to the Northland, and they delivered. From their modern aesthetic to their unique and seasonal latte flavors, Hammerhand set the bar high for all of our caffeine cravings. They roast their own coffee in house for a freshness that can’t be matched.
In 2016, before they ever served their first cup of cold brew, their original building collapsed, resulting in the loss of not only their space but also their funds. This set back caused significant delays, but thank your espresso, they did not give up.
Later that year they were finally able to open in a temporary space on the Liberty square. This spot served as their home for four years. The Liberty community kept that spot buzzing as people flocked in for their daily cup of joe along with delicious bakery treats. Unfortunately after numerous structural problems with that building and a debilitating dip in sales during the pandemic, Hammerhand had to close its doors yet again.
While they were quick to secure a new location, they helped sustain themselves by continuing to roast and sell bags of their coffee at local grocery stores and to wholesale partners.
Unwavering in their commitment to provide our community with quality coffee and a beautiful space to enjoy it in, Hammerhand started a Kickstarter. They set an initial goal of raising $7,000 for finishing the café and within ninety minutes were fully funded. Our community rose to the occasion of reviving this local business that provides for all of our caffeinated habits, going on to fund 240% of their original goal.
Hammerhand recently had a soft opening of their new store, and it does not disappoint! Currently they are open from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
