Holiday Fun in Liberty

It's the most wonderful time of the year and Liberty is making it easy to get in on the fun. Here are five events in Liberty to light up your holiday season. 

Hometown Holidays

Saddle your reindeer to kick off the season with holiday shopping, pictures with Santa, crafts, games, the new Holiday Treats Tour. Cap the night with the Mayor's Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony! Pick up a map and follow the fun through downtown Liberty, stopping in participating businesses where you will find holiday snacks and beverages, toys and s'mores kits to enjoy at the fire pits.  

Hometown Holidays 1

This family-friendly event features games, face painting and crafts for the kids but is fun for everyone! The festivities will take place on Saturday, Dec. 3, beginning at 2 p.m. Make sure to stick around so you don't miss the annual Mayor's Christmas tree lighting at 5:15 p.m.


Weigh in on Downtown Liberty's Gingerbread House Contest 

Several downtown Liberty businesses have put their gingerbread house making skills to the test in this year's gingerbread making contest. See what they've come up with and vote for your favorite one online

Gingerbread Contest

The delicious creations will be on display the first weekend of December (Dec. 2-4), and the winners will be announced the week of Dec. 5. What a tasty way to support a few of your favorite downtown Liberty businesses!

Pleasant Valley Christmas Party

It's time to bust out those ugly Christmas sweaters for the Pleasant Valley Christmas Party! Join the celebration while enjoying food trucks, a petting zoo, inflatables and photo booths all ages can enjoy. 

PV Christmas Party

The Ugly Christmas Sweater contest includes three categories: best ugly sweater, best-themed group and most festive group. Gather your friends and family for some ugly fun. The party starts Saturday, Dec. 10 at 4 p.m. and will last until 7 p.m. Make sure to RSVP to help ensure enough food for everyone!  

Johnnies Live Music and New Years' Eve Party

Ring in 2023 with divine music, unique cocktails and a great party at Johnnie's Bar and Grill.
